Release Athens 2022

Τhe Release Athens festival takes place from June 8th to July 23rd 2022 at Plateia Nerou.

Across the summer months of June and July, Athens welcomes Gods of contemporary music to perform in the historic city, all of which span rock, pop, metal, hip-hop, dance music and more.

After 35 months in silence, Plateia Nerou comes to life again. Your favorite music festival returns bigger than ever. Eleven days, forty top live acts, one hundred hours of live music.

Bauhaus / The Jesus And Mary Chain / dEUS (8/6/22)
The greatest goth-rock band ever with the original lineup, in one of the very few live appearances they’ll make this summer in Europe. With them, the influential The Jesus And Mary Chain and the great dEUS.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds / Mogwai / Fontaines D.C. (15/6/22)
The magnificent Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, the Scottish post rock pioneers Mogwai and one the best new bands of the last five years on a night no one should miss.

Manowar / Rotting Christ / Rhapsody of Fire (22/6/22)

London Grammar / LP / Hooverphonic (27/6/22)
London Grammar, one of the favorite bands of the local music fans for the first time in Greece in a concert we’ve been waiting for a long time. With them, the unique LP and the cinematic Hooverphonic.

One of the greatest bands the pop music has ever seen visits Release Athens as part of the “Dreamworld – The Greatest Hits Live” world tour.

Iggy Pop / Liam Gallagher / Sleaford Mods / The K’s (2/7/22)
Iggy pop, the man who, more or less, defined how a true rock star performs on stage, on the same bill with Liam Gallagher, one of the greatest artists left from the 90s perhaps at the peek of his post-Oasis career. With them, the awesome Sleaford Mods and the K’s, the indie rock band from Earlestown ready to take the summer festival world by storm.

Judas Priest / Cradle of Filth / Dead Daisies (15/7/22, Faliro Pavillion)
Judas Priest, the “Gods of Metal” celebrate 50 years at the top of the scene and visit Athens with an impressive show that no one wants to miss. With them, the provocative Cradle of Filth and the supergroup The Dead Daisies.

Sabaton / Blind Guardian / Epica (21/7/22)
