The superior first-class establishment nestled in the upscale Acropolis neighborhood, was an absolute delight. The hotel’s prime location allowed us to easily explore the city on foot, with the Acropolis Museum, Acropolis, Plaka, Thissio, Gazi, and Kerameikos just a short stroll away. The nearby metro station also provided convenient access to the international airport, Piraeus port, and other parts of Athens.
The hotel itself exuded elegance with its contemporary design, classic character, and discreet artistic touches. We were impressed by the attentive service and the tastefully appointed guest rooms, some of which offered spectacular Acropolis views. Our room was spotless, featured a comfortable bed, and included thoughtful amenities like hand sanitizer, masks, and individually wrapped toiletries.
We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel’s common areas, such as the “living room” area extending from the lobby and the bar, which was perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. The daily breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choices, including hot foods, pastries, fruit, yogurt, and more. The hotel’s rooftop restaurant and hot tub area provided breathtaking views of the Acropolis and the surrounding area.
Herodion Hotel took COVID precautions seriously, ensuring a safe and comfortable stay for its guests. The hotel staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating, assisting us with our luggage, arranging taxis, and providing excellent sightseeing tips.
The location of the Herodion Hotel made it easy to explore Athens’ many attractions, with numerous historical sites, restaurants, and shops within a 20-minute walk. We enjoyed dining at nearby restaurants like Strofi, Mani Mani, and O Thanasis, and appreciated the convenience of a gift shop right next to the hotel.
We wholeheartedly recommend the Herodion Hotel to anyone seeking a stylish, comfortable, and convenient base for exploring Athens. The excellent service and superb location make it an ideal choice, and we look forward to returning in the future.
