With its modern design and classical twist, this luxurious hotel provided us with a personalized experience immersed in genuine Greek hospitality.
The hotel’s central location in the Syntagma area allowed us to easily explore the Plaka district, visit Syntagma Square, and witness the changing of the guard. The stunning National Gardens and all major attractions were within walking distance.
Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the reception staff and shown to our quiet and spacious room on the 8th floor. The room was equipped with plenty of hanging space, a desk/dressing table, safe, minibar, and kettle. The bathroom was impressive, featuring a large bath and shower, excellent water pressure, and every amenity we could desire.
Breakfast at the 10th-floor restaurant was fresh, delicious, and offered a wide variety of choices. The panoramic view of Athens and the Acropolis from the restaurant was breathtaking. Service was always courteous and friendly.
The hotel’s cleanliness and upkeep were top-notch, and we had no complaints during our stay. The pool area was beautiful, boasting some of the best views of the Acropolis. Pool service was excellent, and we highly recommend visiting the rooftop bar for a sunset cocktail.
The restaurant staff, particularly the Lady Matre D at breakfast, were outstanding and always helpful. We appreciated the continental and ‘English’ breakfast selections, including fresh honey straight from the hive.
In summary, the Electra Metropolis exceeded our expectations in every aspect. From its superb location, comfortable and well-appointed rooms, exceptional breakfast, and breathtaking views, we would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning on our next visit to Athens.
