This boutique hotel, situated right at the foot of the Acropolis hill and the new Acropolis Museum, provided us with the ultimate blend of hospitality, comfort, and convenience.
Upon arrival, we were immediately impressed by the hotel’s elegant architecture and exquisite interior décor. The staff greeted us warmly and were consistently professional, friendly, and fluent in English. Their attentiveness and willingness to assist with any requests or questions truly enhanced our stay.
We were delighted with our room, which was clean, comfortable, and relatively spacious. The private balcony with chairs provided a cozy spot to relax and enjoy the surrounding views. The self-controlled, quiet air conditioning ensured a pleasant temperature throughout our stay. We also appreciated the abundance of storage space for our clothes.
The black marble bathroom was a luxurious touch, though we suggest that guests with mobility issues inquire about rooms with walk-in showers due to the high tub wall. Additionally, we noticed the absence of bar soap, which seems to be a common trend in Greek hotels.
Hera Hotel offers a delightful breakfast experience, featuring a diverse and delicious selection in a charming breakfast room. The rooftop Peacock Restaurant is another dining highlight, serving tasty food accompanied by unparalleled views of the Acropolis.
The location of the Hera Hotel is truly unbeatable. Situated in a neighborhood area rather than the touristy Plaka, the hotel is surrounded by an array of excellent restaurants and tavernas frequented by locals. Moreover, it is within walking distance to Syntagma Square, the Panathenaic Stadium, and various shops, as well as being close to the Fix Metro station.
This hotel also provides a wealth of on-request services, including transfers, car rental, and beauty services, which we found quite helpful during our stay. Additionally, they offer access to various activities such as fitness and spa facilities, tennis and squash clubs, and a golf club.
In summary, our stay at the Hera Hotel was truly one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. The combination of exceptional service, comfortable accommodations, and a prime location makes this hotel our top choice for any future visits to Athens.
