our experience was nothing short of delightful. The hotel’s rich history of hospitality, passed down through three generations of family ownership, combined with the warm and friendly staff, made our stay truly memorable.
The hotel’s prime location at Syntagma Square made it an ideal base for exploring Athens. Major attractions such as the Parliament, National Garden, Panathinaic Stadium, Plaka, Monastiraki, the Acropolis, and various museums were all within walking distance. The proximity to public transportation, including the Metro and Airport Express Bus, made it easy to reach from the airport and Piraeus port.
Upon arrival, we were pleased to find that the hotel adhered to strict COVID-19 protocols, offering free masks and gloves for guests, as well as individually delivered breakfast. Our triple room was spacious and well-equipped with modern amenities, including built-in USB ports and free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.
We particularly appreciated the staff’s responsiveness and flexibility. When our flight was delayed, they held our room, ensuring a smooth check-in despite our late arrival. During our stay, they were always ready to assist with any inquiries or needs we had, printing our boarding passes and offering transportation bookings and wake-up calls.
The hotel’s décor was a charming blend of modern and retro elements, with spotlessly clean rooms and daily housekeeping. Our family room featured ample storage space, tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge, air conditioning, and comfortable en-suite bathrooms. We also enjoyed the balcony that offered a lovely view of the city.
Breakfast at the Pan Hotel was a pleasant experience, with a variety of offerings such as cheese, cold cuts, olives, fruits, boiled eggs, pastries, tea, coffee, cereal, bread, and, of course, Greek yogurt. The efficient use of limited space in the breakfast room added to the cozy ambiance.
