Upon entering, we were drawn to the tavern’s eye-catching serving bar and rustic decor, which perfectly set the stage for an authentic Greek dining experience. We opted to sit outside to enjoy the bustling atmosphere and indulge in some people-watching.
Our food arrived promptly, and we were delighted with the quality of the dishes. The meat was grilled to perfection, the pita bread was delectable, the salad was fresh, and the beer was ice-cold. We especially loved the herby fries, Greek salad, and tzatziki, which made for a fantastic accompaniment to our mixed kebab platter.
The staff at Bairaktaris Taverna was exceptionally hospitable, treating us like family and making thoughtful recommendations. When we teased the owner about bringing the check too soon, he graciously whisked it away and brought us complimentary shots of ouzo, making our visit all the more memorable.
