Our stay at Coco-Mat Athens BC, a luxurious design hotel in the heart of Athens, exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, even upgrading us to a suite due to a minor issue with our original room. The stunning views of the Acropolis from our balcony, coupled with the complimentary wine and fruit, made our stay feel truly special.
The hotel’s architecture and interior design were breathtaking, featuring turtles and fish in the spa area and a distinct eco-friendly vibe throughout. The cleanliness and COVID precautions were exceptional, making us feel safe and secure during our stay.
We enjoyed the daily continental breakfast, though we recommend asking the staff about alternative options. The herbal tea, sourced from the mountains, was a delightful treat. The gym was spacious and clean, though we suggest bringing gym gloves for the rower and adding another treadmill.
The spa services were a mixed experience; we had a lovely couples massage, but the male masseuse was not up to par. We highly recommend the female masseuse, who provided an outstanding service. Although we had limited access to the spa facilities, we appreciated the privacy during our 30-minute session.
Unfortunately, our visit coincided with the winter season, which meant the rooftop bar and pool were closed. However, the hotel allowed us to access the rooftop for pictures, and the view was simply breathtaking.
Coco-Mat Athens BC’s attentive and hospitable staff made our stay unforgettable. The hotel’s prime location allowed us to explore Athens’ attractions on foot, while the nearby metro station offered easy access to other parts of the city. The Acropolis view room, with its stunning views, was worth every penny.
We were especially impressed by the consistency in the excellent service, both at reception and in the restaurant. The owner, Mr. Paul, was friendly and down-to-earth, reflecting the hotel’s commitment to outstanding hospitality.
Overall, we cannot recommend Coco-Mat Athens BC highly enough. We would not hesitate to stay here again and urge others to experience the luxury, style, and unparalleled service offered by this exceptional hotel.
