The guest rooms were spacious and well-appointed, featuring air conditioning, a refrigerator, and complimentary Wi-Fi. We appreciated the hotel’s additional facilities such as room service, a stunning rooftop terrace, a rooftop pool with a pool bar, and the impressive 1000m2 spa center.
The hotel’s proximity to top attractions like Philopappos Hill, Herod Atticus Odeon, Parthenon, The Academy of Athens, and the First Cemetery of Athens made it easy to explore the city. We also enjoyed trying out the nearby restaurants such as Dionysos Zonar’s, Strofi, and Mani Mani.
As a Globalist member, we were upgraded to a room with a breathtaking Acropolis view. The rooms were impeccably clean, serviced 2-3 times daily, and featured every branded Grand Hyatt toiletry in the bathroom. The comfortable beds and quiet atmosphere allowed for a restful night’s sleep.
The hotel’s management and staff were responsive, attentive, and accommodating throughout our stay. The concierge service, particularly Anna, went above and beyond to assist us with organizing trips and providing advice.
Breakfast at the hotel was generous and flavorful, with a mix of standard options and Greek specialties like yogurt, honey, and fresh orange juice. Despite the busy atmosphere, the staff ensured that there was always enough food available.
The gym was well-equipped, and the rooftop bar offered a cozy atmosphere with spectacular views. Although the hotel’s location is slightly off the beaten track, it was easily accessible via affordable Uber rides, which we used daily.
We found the surrounding area to be safe and convenient, with local eateries and grocery stores nearby. The hotel’s proximity to the conference center also makes it an excellent choice for business travelers.
In summary, our stay at the Grand Hyatt Athens was luxurious, comfortable, and memorable. The spacious rooms, excellent service, and convenient location made it the perfect base for our Athens adventure. We wholeheartedly recommend the Grand Hyatt Athens to anyone visiting the city and look forward to returning on our next visit.
