Alimos Beach, also known as Akti Tou Iliou, is a popular destination located in the southern suburbs of Athens, Greece. This stunning beach is known for its clear waters, soft sand, and lively atmosphere. I had the opportunity to visit Alimos Beach and it was truly a wonderful experience.
To get to Alimos Beach, you can take a bus or drive. The journey takes approximately 20-30 minutes by car and 30-45 minutes by bus, depending on traffic. If you’re driving, you can take the Athens-Sounio Avenue (Poseidonos Avenue) and then follow the signs to Alimos Beach. There is ample parking available near the beach.
Upon arrival, I was struck by the lively and bustling atmosphere of the beach. Alimos Beach is a popular destination for both locals and tourists, which creates a vibrant and energetic atmosphere. The beach is well-equipped with amenities such as sun loungers, umbrellas, showers, and changing rooms.
