Kavouri Beach is a stunning coastal destination located in the southern suburbs of Athens, Greece. This beautiful beach is known for its crystal-clear waters, soft golden sands, and breathtaking views of the Saronic Gulf. I had the opportunity to visit Kavouri Beach and it was truly an unforgettable experience.
To get to Kavouri Beach, you can take a bus or drive. The journey takes approximately 20-30 minutes by car and 30-45 minutes by bus, depending on traffic. If you’re driving, you can take the Athens-Sounio Avenue (Poseidonos Avenue) and then follow the signs to Kavouri Beach. There is ample parking available near the beach.
Upon arrival, I was struck by the natural beauty of the area. The beach is less crowded than some of the more popular beaches in Greece, which creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The water is exceptionally clear and calm, making it perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and other water activities. The beach is also equipped with amenities such as sun loungers, umbrellas, and showers.
One of the highlights of my visit to Kavouri Beach was the nearby Kavouri Grove. The grove is a natural park with pine trees, walking paths, and a playground, making it a great spot for a picnic or a leisurely stroll.
The beach is also well-equipped with several restaurants and cafes nearby, where you can enjoy delicious local cuisine and refreshing drinks while taking in the stunning views of the Saronic Gulf.
Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to Kavouri Beach to anyone traveling to Athens, Greece. Its natural beauty, peaceful atmosphere, and proximity to nearby parks make it a must-see destination. The journey to get there is relatively easy, and the beach is well-equipped with amenities to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable visit.
