Lombarda Beach is a beautiful destination located in the southern suburbs of Athens, Greece, near the area of Vouliagmeni. This stunning beach is known for its crystal-clear waters, soft golden sands, and breathtaking views of the Saronic Gulf. I had the pleasure of visiting Lombarda Beach and it was truly an unforgettable experience.
To get to Lombarda Beach from Athens, you can take a bus or drive. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes by car and 45 minutes by bus, depending on traffic. If you’re driving, you can take the Athens-Sounio Avenue (Poseidonos Avenue) and then follow the signs to Lombarda Beach. There is ample parking available near the beach.
Upon arrival, I was struck by the natural beauty of the area. The beach is less crowded than some of the more popular beaches in Greece, which creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The water is exceptionally clear and calm, making it perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and other water activities. The beach is also equipped with amenities such as sun loungers, umbrellas, and showers.
One of the highlights of my visit to Lombarda Beach was exploring the surrounding area. There are several restaurants and cafes nearby where you can enjoy delicious local cuisine and refreshing drinks while taking in the stunning views. Additionally, the nearby Vouliagmeni Lake and Cave is a must-see attraction for nature lovers.
Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to Lombarda Beach to anyone traveling to Greece. It’s a great place to unwind and relax while taking in the stunning natural beauty of the area. The journey to get there is relatively easy, and the beach is well-equipped with amenities to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable visit.
