FALIRO PAVILION / ATHENS

Judas Priest

Release Athens 2022 proudly presents the legendary Judas Priest on Friday, July 15, 2022, at Faliro Pavilion.

The “metal gods” will bring in Athens their spectacular show for an extraordinary night with their greatest hits, celebrating 50 years at the top of the heavy metal scene. With them, the provocative Cradle of Filth and the supergroup Dead Daisies.

Judas Priest formed in 1969 at Birmingham and they were destined to change the face of heavy metal. With time-defying records like Sin After Sin (’77), Hell Bent for Leather (’78), British Steel, (’80), Point of Entry (’81), Defenders of the Faith (’84), Painkiller (’90) and unforgettable songs like “Breaking the Law”, “Living After Midnight”, “Heading Out to the Highway”, “You’ve Got Another Thing Coming” and “Τurbo Lover”, they headlined the biggest festivals in the world.

Their latest studio album named Firepower (’18) proves once again that they are still a force to be reckoned with and now we have the chance to celebrate more than 50 years of pure heavy metal on stage!

Cradle of Filth have been around for almost 30 years! Their extreme fusion of black metal, gothic and symphonic music, heavily influenced by literature that leans to the macabre side of things and horror films, allowed them to remain in the forefront of the scene while they restart, taking a new course full of momentum and desire to get better!

With classic records like “Dusk… and Her Embrace” (1996), “Cruelty and The Beast” (1998), the EP “From the Cradle to Enslave” (1999) και “Midian” (2000), they ascended at the top of the black metal scene, while their latest LP “Existence is Futile” (2021) with the newcomer Annabelle Iratni taking over keyboards and backing vocals, received universal acclaim from fans and music critics.

With six studio albums and countless tours, Dead Daisies are here to verify the obvious: Rock isn’t dead!

The magnificent voice of Glenn Hughes took the band to another level. The British bassist and singer, led the funk rockers Trapeze, thrived with Deep Purple and collaborated with legends like Black Sabbath and Gary Moore among many others!

Heavily influenced by the classic rock sounds of the 70s and 80s and a line-up with remarkable musicians, Dead Daisies are a joy to watch on stage! The current band members are Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake / Dio), David Lowy (the founder of the group) and Dean Castronovo (Journey, Bad English etc.)
